The WKDC launched on March 5, 2021, with eighteen pastors/churches engaging in a cooperative fellowship to alleviate a poverty spirit and mindset in Western Kentucky. One of our original missional objectives was to help make a difference in those young lives recently released from detention, addiction, or our court systems.
Larry and Dr. Knight spent days strategizing, working through documents, and searching the internet for the very best programs in juvenile justice. They have now discovered this program, designed a strategic plan with a judge friend, and started the process. Next month we will release this plan and celebrate the establishment of this life-changing program.
If you know of a parent who has a child involved in the juvenile justice system and has been released but needs help, call us @ 270-821-2049! We will have fifteen scholarships for such an adolescent or young adult.
The program will be in person at the Western Kentucky Dream Center and through an online video conferencing system.
